The purpose and contents of this learning resource is to be hymnology project. The plan is for it to be open content, contributed by students and others. Much of the content will be short explanations with wikipedia links. Other content will be student compositions in pdf and/or audio files. The "songs" are mostly public domain hymns, with student editing and tunes supplied.

(...)

This project is specifically sacred/congregational music. It should not be the only learning project in the Sacred Music division, and it seems there should be another layer between Sacred Music, and even Hymnology, and the 1000 Songs Project.
