Topic development feedback

edit

The topic development submission has been reviewed according to the marking criteria. Written feedback is below, plus see the general feedback page. Please also check the page history for changes made whilst reviewing the chapter plan. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below and/or contacting the reviewer. Marks are available via UCLearn. Marks are based on the latest version before the due date.

  1. The title and sub-title are correctly worded and formatted
  1. Promising 3-level heading structure. Meaningful headings clearly relate directly to the core topic.
  2. The focus seems to be mostly O rather than M. Place more emphasis on O -> M.
  3. Sex and relationships can be very useful examples, but note that they are not topic per se
  4. Adopt closer alignment between sub-title, focus questions, and top-level headings
  1. Excellent – Scenario, image, evocative description of the problem/topic, and focus questions
  2. Very good
  3. OK
  4. Basic
  5. Insufficient
  6. Does this section include genAI content? If so, it needs to be acknowledged as such in the edit summaries, otherwise it violates academic integrity.
  7. Hasn't been developed – Needs scenario, image, evocative description of the problem/topic, and focus questions
  8. Add an image to the scenario to help attract reader interest
  9. Description needs expansion
  10. Closer alignment between the sub-title, focus questions, and top-level headings is recommended
  1. Promising development of key points for each section
  2. The main area for potential improvement is to provide more higher-level conceptual review of O and M (along the lines of the focus questions) rather than overemphasis on sex/relationships
  3. Excellent use of citations
  4. Strive for an integrated balance of the best psychological theory and research about this topic, with practical examples
  5. For sections which include sub-sections, include the key points for an overview paragraph prior to branching into the sub-headings
  6. Avoid providing too much background information. Aim to briefly summarise general concepts and provide internal links to relevant book chapters and/or Wikipedia pages for further information. Then focus most of the content on directly answering the core question(s) posed by the chapter sub-title.
  7. Conclusion is underway
  1. One or more relevant figure(s) presented and captioned
  2. The figure caption(s) could better explain how the image connects to key points being made in the main text

Oxytocin - the love hormone

edit

I think its really good you've included the role oxytocin has in birth and so it ensures a mother won't abandon her child. Annabelle Taylor (discusscontribs) 00:59, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion to better adhere to book chapter marking criteria

edit

Hello! Your chapter is looking really great so far! I just noticed towards the end in your 'external links' section that the titles did not use sentence casing. Maybe just double check this, but I am fairly sure sentencing casing is required for this section. All the best with the rest of your chapter, I can't wait to read it! --U3237728 (discusscontribs) 14:19, 6 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
