  1. Overall, this a CR-level chapter. It successfully explains the concept of self-actualisation and I particularly liked that it included criticisms and an alternative model, as well as considered some applications and included a quiz. The main areas for improvement are developing focus questions, greater use of in-text citations, spelling and grammar, proofreading, and APA style.
  1. Written expression
    1. Self actualisation or self-actualisation? (Check consistency)
    2. The chapter could have benefited from developing clear focus questions. Getting comments on a chapter plan and/or chapter draft could have helped with this aspect.
    3. Some paragraphs were overly long. Each paragraph should communicate one key idea in three to five sentences.
    4. Some statements lacked sufficient referencing (e.g., see first paragraph).
    5. A table or list of Maslow's identified characteristics of SA could have been helpful.
  2. Spelling, grammar and proofreading
    1. The chapter would have benefitted from proofreading - see my edits for examples.
    2. Use Australian spelling e.g., actualize -> actualise
    3. Check use of ownership apostrophes e.g., ones -> one's
    4. There was unnecessary use of semi-colons
    5. Check capitalisation - some unnecessary capitalisation was evident - see my edits for examples.
    6. excepted -> accepted
  3. APA style
    1. Check comma before page number e.g., (Maslow, 1970 p. 16) -> (Maslow, 1970, p. 16)

  1. Overall, this was a clear, easy to follow introduction to self-actualisation using bullet-point text and slides, with some imagess.
  2. Clear introduction
  3. Increase font size (on many slides)
  4. Audio was well-paced (many other presentations were too fast) e.g., there were pauses between slides to allow the ideas to settle in
  5. Good balance between theory and research
  6. Narrating voice was clear and easy to follow - maybe use some more variation in tone to enhance reader interest
  7. B vs. D love?
  8. Image attributions?
