  3. Add your Wikiversity signature to comments on talk/discussion pages
  1. Promising structure, with headings clearly related to the topic
  2. 3rd-level structure is underdeveloped - consider either expanding this level or simplifying to a 2-level structure. As there are already quite a few headings, I'm inclined towards simplifying.
  3. Avoid having sections with 1 sub-heading - use 0 or 2+ sub-headings
  1. Overview is fantastic - Consider adding:
    1. an image
  2. Key points are partially developed for some sections, with relevant citations, and missing for other sections.
  3. For sections which include sub-section include key points for an overview paragraph prior to branching into the sub-headings
  4. Excellent use of in-text interwiki links for the first mention of key terms to relevant Wikipedia articles and/or to other relevant book chapters
  5. Perhaps consider what is the evolutionary function of pleasure - why do we experience it?
  6. Expand theory and research
  7. Excellent use of examples/case studies
  8. Conclusion (the most important section):
    1. hasn't been developed
    2. what might the take-home, practical messages be?
    3. in a nutshell, what are the answer(s) to the question(s) in the sub-title?
  1. A figure is presented
  2. Caption uses APA style
  3. Cite each figure at least once in the main text
  1. Excellent
  1. Excellent
  2. Minor - I've removed the "-"s

  1. Very good critical thinking about research is evident.
  1. Discussion of theory and research is well integrated.
  1. Key points are well summarised.
  2. Clear take-home message(s).
  1. Written expression
    1. Overall, the quality of written expression is excellent.
    2. Avoid one sentence paragraphs. A paragraph should typically consist of three to five sentences.
  2. Layout
    1. The chapter is well structured, with major sections using sub-sections.
    2. Abbreviations
      1. Check and correct grammatical formatting for abbreviations (such as e.g., i.e.., etc.).
  3. APA style
    1. Use double (not single) quotation marks "to introduce a word or phrase used as an ironic comment, as slang, or as an invented or coined expression; use quotation marks only for the first occurrence of the word or phrase, not for subsequent occurrences" (APA 7th ed., 2020, p. 159).
    2. Figures and tables
      1. Figures are very well captioned.
      2. Figure captions use the correct format.
      3. Each Figure is referred to at least once within the main text.
      4. Table captions should use APA style. See example.
      5. Refer to each Table at least once within the main text (e.g., see Figure 1).
    3. Citations are not in full APA style (7th ed.). For example:
      1. If there are three or more authors, cite the first author followed by et al., then year. For example, either:
        1. in-text, Smith et al. (2020), or
        2. in parentheses (Smith et al., 2020)
    4. References use very good APA style.
      1. Page numbers should be separated by an en-dash (–) rather than a hyphen (-)
  1. Overall, the use of learning features is excellent.
  2. Excellent use of embedded in-text interwiki links to Wikipedia articles. # No use of embedded in-text links to related book chapters. Embedding in-text links to related book chapters helps to integrate this chapter into the broader book project.
  3. Excellent use of image(s).
  4. Excellent use of table(s).
  5. Excellent use of feature box(es).
  6. Excellent use of quiz(zes).
  7. Excellent use of examples.
  1. ~11 logged, useful, mostly minor social contributions with direct links to evidence.
  2. ~1 logged social contributions without direct links to evidence, so unable to easily verify and assess.
