Add your Wikiversity signature to comments on talk/discussion pages Headings Promising structure, with headings clearly related to the topic 3rd-level structure is underdeveloped - consider either expanding this level or simplifying to a 2-level structure. As there are already quite a few headings, I'm inclined towards simplifying. Avoid having sections with 1 sub-heading - use 0 or 2+ sub-headings Key points Overview is fantastic - Consider adding: an image Key points are partially developed for some sections, with relevant citations, and missing for other sections. For sections which include sub-section include key points for an overview paragraph prior to branching into the sub-headings Excellent use of in-text interwiki links for the first mention of key terms to relevant Wikipedia articles and/or to other relevant book chapters Perhaps consider what is the evolutionary function of pleasure - why do we experience it? Expand theory and research Excellent use of examples/case studies Conclusion (the most important section): hasn't been developed what might the take-home, practical messages be? in a nutshell, what are the answer(s) to the question(s) in the sub-title? Clear focus question(s). Engages reader interest by introducing a case study and/or example and/or using an image. Theory — Breadth Relevant theories are well selected, described, and explained. Theory — Depth Excellent depth is provided about the selected theory(ies). Useful examples are provided to illustrate theoretical concepts. Research — Key findings Relevant research is well reviewed. Research — Critical thinking Very good critical thinking about research is evident. Integration Discussion of theory and research is well integrated. Conclusion Key points are well summarised. Clear take-home message(s). Written expression — Style Written expression Overall, the quality of written expression is excellent. Avoid one sentence paragraphs. A paragraph should typically consist of three to five sentences. Layout The chapter is well structured, with major sections using sub-sections. Abbreviations Check and correct grammatical formatting for abbreviations (such as e.g., i.e.., etc.). APA style Use double (not single) quotation marks "to introduce a word or phrase used as an ironic comment, as slang, or as an invented or coined expression; use quotation marks only for the first occurrence of the word or phrase, not for subsequent occurrences" (APA 7th ed., 2020, p. 159). Figures and tables Figures are very well captioned. Figure captions use the correct format. Each Figure is referred to at least once within the main text. Table captions should use APA style. See example. Refer to each Table at least once within the main text (e.g., see Figure 1). Citations are not in full APA style (7th ed.). For example: If there are three or more authors, cite the first author followed by et al., then year. For example, either: in-text, Smith et al. (2020), or in parentheses (Smith et al., 2020) References use very good APA style. Page numbers should be separated by an en-dash (–) rather than a hyphen (-) Written expression — Learning features Overall, the use of learning features is excellent. This presentation has a very engaging introduction to hook audience interest . A context for the topic is established. The importance of this topic is explained. Focus questions are presented. Content Comments about the book chapter may also apply to this section. The presentation addresses the topic. The presentation is well structured. The presentation makes excellent use of relevant psychological theory. The presentation makes excellent use of relevant psychological research. The presentation makes excellent use of one or more examples or case studies or practical advice. The presentation provides practical, easy to understand information. Conclusion A Conclusion slide is presented with excellent take-home message(s). Audio The audio is fun, easy to follow, and interesting to listen to. Audio communication is clear and well paced. Excellent pauses between sentences. This helps the viewer to cognitively digest the information that has just been presented before moving on to the next point. Excellent intonation enhances listener interest and engagement. Audio recording quality was excellent. Video Overall, visual display quality is amazing. The presentation makes creative use of homemade animated slides. The font size is sufficiently large to make it easy to read. The amount of text presented per slide makes it easy to read and listen at the same time. The presentation is extremely well produced. Meta-data The chapter title and sub-title are used in the name of the presentation - this helps to clearly convey the purpose of the presentation.
