Hi, it would be interesting to include a case study on compassion fatigue in first line paramedics. They work very long shifts and often at night, so fatigue would have a big impact on their ability to express compassion as well as elicit a number of other emotions. Inline with the above comment, it might be worth having look at compassion fatigue and impact being in a care giving role has on ones own wellbeing. Some promising theory about fatigue is suggested, but there seems to be a lack of theory and research specifically about the relation between fatigue and emotion.
