Hi there,
I was just having a look at your topic development for your chapter hope and emotion since I am researching a similar topic. I noticed that your assignment does not have any content or sub-headings related to what you are planning to write about. There is an example posted on canvas as to what the topic development should look like, you are also welcome to have a look at mine (hope and motivation). I am not sure if you have a separate document of your chapter structure elsewhere I just thought I should let you know.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend, if you need any help let me know :)
Kind Regards,
Julia
I know it's coming close to the due date but particularly the section what is hope could use some more flushing out so that people understand what it is.--Haylzw (discuss • contribs) 06:32, 19 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

The topic development has been reviewed according to the marking criteria. Written feedback is provided below, plus there is a general feedback page. Please also check the chapter's page history to check for editing changes made whilst reviewing the chapter plan. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below and/or contacting the reviewer. Topic development marks are available via UCLearn. Note that marks are based on what was available before the due date, whereas the comments may also be based on all material available at time of providing this feedback.
The structure does not focus on directly addressing the question about the role of hope in our emotional lives.
Well developed 2-level heading structure.
Sections which include sub-sections should also include an overview paragraph (which doesn't need a separate heading) before branching into the sub-headings.
Avoid providing too much background information. Instead, briefly summarise generic concepts and provide internal wiki links to further information. Then the focus of most of the content can be on directly answering the core question(s) posed by the chapter sub-title.

This chapter has been reviewed according to the marking criteria. Written feedback is provided below, plus there is a general feedback page. Please also check the chapter's page history to check for editing changes made whilst reviewing through the chapter. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below and/or contacting the reviewer. Chapter marks will be available later via UCLearn Canvas, along with social contribution marks and feedback. Keep an eye on Announcements.
Overall, this chapter does a good job of reviewing hope theory and research about its psychological consequences, but struggles to narrow in more specifically on the relationship between hope and emotion.
Overview - Consider adding focus questions - doing so could help to refine the focus of the chapter to more closely align with the chapter title and sub-title.
For additional feedback, see comments below and these copyedits.
Several relevant research studies are described, one by one.
When describing important research findings, consider including a bit less detail about the methodology (e.g., we don't need to know the average age of participants down to the second decimal point), but provide more info about the size of effects or relationships.
When reviewing research literature, consider providing a synthesis of several related studies rather than detailed descriptions of one study at a time, unless the study is particularly pertinent (e.g., on hope and emotion).
Greater emphasis on major reviews and/or meta-analyses would be helpful.
No use of embedded links to related book chapters. Embedding interwiki links links to related book chapters helps to integrate this chapter into the broader book project.
Good use of images. Figure 2 is excellent.
Basic use of tables.
Good use of feature boxes.
Basic use of quizzes.
The quiz questions could be more effective as learning prompts by being embedded as single questions within each corresponding section rather than being presented as a set of questions at the end.
Basic use of case study. The case study could have been followed up to demonstrate application of theory and research.
Grammar
Check and correct use of ownership apostrophes (e.g., individuals vs. individual's vs individuals')[1].
APA style
Use APA style to refer to each Table and each Figure (e.g., do not use italics; capitalise the first letter of Figure and Table; no full-stop).
