Doctor who runs a newsletter abouth medicine myths edit

Hi, There is a doctor who runs a newsletter abouth medicine myths. He shows with proofs and articles why some myths are just that: myths. I received his newsletter but then I cancelled the subscription because I was receiving too many e-mails (not from him but in general). I need to obtain some info I had read in the past. I cannot remember his name. Do you have a clue who this doctor may be? As I said, I need to re-read one article by him... Thanks so much, Leonardo Cardillo --Leonardo T. Other things I remember: he runs a couple of sites as well, he accepts donations for his contributions. One I was suscribed to hi newsletter... is there any way I can trace it from that? Also: tha man is about 60 years old... the name of the site is one or two words... It makes me crazy I cannot find that on Google...!! --Leonardo T. Wikiversity in LinkedIn edit

Let's say you've read the article on Wikipedia w:Electronic filter to find out that passive filters use capacitors and that an active filter may not. I don't think there is a global watchlist, but I am not sure. Is that what you meant when you said "articleS" or did you mean newS articles? State of Wiki Collective edit

There are links to new programmatic functionality for servers in the wiki collective, cloud hosting, and in the test areas. (I can find the links if necessary). Do any of the programming environments available allow Wikiversity users to run servers or programs, or access machines or engines? I'll take a look at it soon and thought about asking in advance. My programming skills are moderate, so if someone can explain what is there to see, I will appreciate it. Another related question is: has anyone tried to run Wikimedia instances on virtual machines for experimentation? I want to know the correct way to understand what is on offer. Some of the offers seem very narrow in focus and clarity could require a lot of scaffolding within Wikimedia operations. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks! @Brett Johnston: It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. For the Wikimedia server world, see mw:Wikimedia Labs. For Wikimedia access, there's mw:PAWS. For a cloud-based IDE, there are many, but my favorite is http://repl.it . How to Merge User Accounts edit

Sorry all if this in not the right place for this conversation, but where would I go to merge a user account. I have been semi-active through this account on Wikiversity, but I recently have been more active in another user account (IanVG) as I am trying to be more consistent in my username across all platforms. Adding a chart -- a family tree -- to a page edit

Hello, I'm writing for help because I can't make a chart work on a regular WV page.

It does work in my Sandbox on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Scogdill/sandbox&redirect=no#Family_Tree

It doesn't work on the WV page: https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Social_Victorians/People/Schreiber#Family_Tree

The two charts are not identical, as I took out some of the tags to simplify the chart so I can see exactly what's going on. The chart in my Sandbox on WP has a few more things going on. I copied the basic structure from somebody else's Sandbox page that showed up in a search, so perhaps that's it?

The error messages on the WV page suggest it's looking for some template pages that don't exist yet. So maybe I need to declare something earlier on the page somehow? Or maybe {{chart}} doesn't work on WV, though the Help pages suggest it should.

I bet I'm just missing something basic, but I can't see what it is. I've read every Help page that seems relevant. Maybe I've missed one, but probably I'm missing something basic and just can't see it.
