Wikiversity:Bots/Status

This page allows bot operators to ask for approval to use a bot on the English-language Wikiversity.

Please read Wikiversity policy about bots first.

Bureaucrats are able to give and remove bot status using the Special:UserRights feature. Request are usually handled after about 7-10 days, to allow time for comments and questions from the community. If you do not receive a timely response to your request, feel free to leave a message on the talk page of a Bureaucrat.

Older status requests are Archived.

The wikicode below is a suggestion for formating a bot request:

@DannyS712: Please start a discussion in the Wikiversity:Colloquium to confirm which pages should be tagged as {{Uncategorized}}. Looking at Special:UncategorizedPages, I don't see any problems tagging main space landing pages, but tagging subpages doesn't appear to add value. Perhaps they could be updated with {{CourseCat}}, but the community should have an opportunity to discuss this first. Thanks! -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 15:01, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
I agree with Dave about the CourseCat for subpages and Uncategorized for top level pages. I'd like to hear what the community thinks is best. --mikeu talk 15:57, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
