WikiJournal User Group
Dear visitor, WikiJournal is currently undergoing UI and UX related improvements.
WikiJournal is an emerging publishing house run by the WikiJournal User Group. It hosts a set of open-access, peer-reviewed academic journals with no publishing costs to authors. The goal of WikiJournal is to provide free, quality-assured knowledge. It also aims to bridge the Academia-Wikipedia gap by enabling expert contributions in the traditional academic publishing format to improve Wikipedia content.

Our pillars of academic publishing
Open access
All of our published articles are openly accessible under a free Creative Commons or similar license.
Peer-review
Scholarly articles are reviewed by experts. Each article is thoroughly reviewed by at least two reviewers.
Cite-friendly
Designed for easy citation and reference. Intended as an alternative to traditional publishing.
Free to publish
WikiJournal is fully non-profit. Our volunteer board of editors does not charge any publication fees.
Discussion forums

Discussion of the projects is encouraged. The forum for the publishing group is here, and each journal has its own additional discussion page.
The journal group is also currently applying to be a Wikimedia Foundation Sister Project. This would give greater control over the workings and formatting of the site, as well as a dedicated domain name.
Similar initiatives
WikiJournal is not the only platform that aims to publish or compile peer reviewed open access articles. A few similar initiatives are arXiv, DOAJ, Scholarpedia, OpenReview, Reviewer Credits, and Peer Community in.
