Hi, I have found an article that you may find useful for the development of your book chapter on Freedom and Motivation.

This first study found that freedom was a statistically significant factor in motivation levels (The determinants affecting employee motivation: A case of Dong Nai University, 2019 by Thao & Hung). This suggests that higher levels of freedom within a workplace can increase employee motivation.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi there, I have added 3 potentially useful references you could investigate. One article looks at the role of freedom and opportunity in self-control theory. The second article discusses the challenge of defining motivation and attempts to provide a universal definition. The third study investigates the impact of choice on the prosocial motivation of young children finding freedom of choice generally increases prosocial behaviour for 5-year-olds while not having an effect for 3-year-olds.

Suggestion

edit

Hey, I found this really interesting article about your topic, and I really identified with this because of my work history. I have found that my motivation plummets when i have a boss that micromanages everyone. With a boss that gives me some freedom and accountability, I perform alot better and have a lot more motivation here is an article that supports this, hope it helps https://extranet.sioe.org/uploads/sioe2017/tan.pdf --U3202984 (discusscontribs) 11:50, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Heading casing

edit

FYI, the recommended Wikiversity heading style uses sentence casing. For example:

Self-determination theory rather than Self-Determination Theory

Here's an example chapter with correct heading casing: Growth mindset development
