The topic development has been reviewed according to the marking criteria. Written feedback is provided below, plus there is a general feedback page. Please also check the chapter's page history to check for editing changes made whilst reviewing the chapter plan. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below and/or contacting the reviewer. Topic development marks are available via UCLearn. Note that marks are based on what was available before the due date, whereas the comments may also be based on all material available at time of providing this feedback.
Consider linking to your eportfolio page and/or any other professional online profile such as LinkedIn. This is not required, but it can be useful to interlink your professional networks.
Very good development of key points, with relevant citations.
Avoid providing too much background information. Briefly summarise generic concepts and provide internal wiki links to further information. Then focus most of the content on directly answering the core question(s) posed by the chapter sub-title.
Overview - Consider adding:
an image.
an example or case study.
Covers theory and research. But note that the key will be ensuring that as much literature as possible similar to Thøgersen-Ntoumani, and Ntoumanis (2007) is covered. The key section for this chapter will be "The relationship between psychological need satisfaction and body image". The lead-in sections are much less important. And the Overview and Conclusion are important.
Use APA style for citations (e.g., do not include author initials).
Include in-text interwiki links for the first mention of key terms to relevant Wikipedia articles and/or to other relevant book chapters.
Consider including more examples/case studies.
Conclusion (the most important section) hasn't been developed.

This chapter has been reviewed according to the marking criteria. Written feedback is provided below, plus there is a general feedback page. Please also check the chapter's page history to check for editing changes made whilst reviewing through the chapter. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below and/or contacting the reviewer. Chapter marks will be available later via UCLearn, along with social contribution marks and feedback. Keep an eye on Announcements.
There is too much general background material (contributing to the chapter being over the word count and insufficiently targetted at the topic (as specified by the sub-title questino). Instead, summarise and link to further information (such as other book chapters or Wikipedia articles), to allow this chapter to focus on the specific topic. The chapter starts effectively addressing the topic with the section "Psychological need satisfaction and body image".
For additional feedback, see the following comments and these copyedits.
Relevant theories are selected and described, but only a basic description of the integration of PNs and BI is provided.
There is too much emphasis on describing the background concepts of BI and PNs separately. There are other chapters and/or Wikipedia articles about these topics. So provide a summary, link to them, and then expand the material about the relationship between PNs and BI.
There is insufficent coverage of research specifically about the relationship between PNs and BI (e.g., Brichacek et al.)
When describing important research findings, consider including a bit more detail about the methodology and indicating the size of effects in addition to whether or not there was an effect or relationship.
Greater emphasis on major reviews and/or meta-analyses would be helpful.
Overall, the quality of written expression is very good
Direct quotes should be embedded within sentences and paragraphs, rather than dumped holus-bolus. Even better, communicate the concept in your own words.
Use 3rd person perspective rather than 1st (e.g., "we") or 2nd person (e.g., "you")[1].
The chapter would benefit from a more developed Overview and Conclusion, with clearer focus question(s) (Overview) and take-home self-help message for each focus question (Conclusion).
Layout
The chapter is reasonably well structured, with major sections using sub-sections. Reduce the prelim content; expand the PNs and BI content.
Sections which include sub-sections should also include an introductory paragraph (which doesn't need a separate heading) before branching into the sub-headings.
Excellent use of in-text links.
Limited use of case studies - this topic lends itself to richer use of case studies to illustrate key points about the relationship between PNs and BI.
Good use of images; make sure to refer to each image at least once in the text.
