I really like how you've set up your sub-headings. I feel like it will make for a very easy to follow chapter once completed. May I suggest possibly adding a sub-heading specifically about positive emotions - what are they, in what other ways are they cultivated, what they mean for an individual (broadly speaking) etc. Maybe this could go under where you outline what cannabis is/its forms or it could just be one part of the overview along with these other things. Then later on in the chapter you can draw cannabis together with the definition of positive emotions when looking at depression and anxiety. Hi chapter is looking good so far, I am also researching a drug for my chapter Motivation and emotion/Book/2017/LSD and emotion something I am going to add is when it became illegal and the current views of it in the eyes of the law. Cannabis is a particularly good one since it's changing so much at the moment as it is being decriminalised. I'm also thinking about possibly adding a sub heading on the war on drugs. Feel free to look at my page for sub headings that might be applicable for yours too. Make sure to focus on answering the question in the subtitle - especially in conclusion. For example, don't drift too far over into covering related topics such as physical effects (but physical effects as they relate to emotion is fine), negative emotion (but negative effects on positive emotion is fine), etc.) Schacter-Singer theory has no citations - not sure how relevant it is? There will be plenty of content here for the other sections and it is probably sufficient to use a neuroscience perspective as well as the argument about positive physical/health effects leading to positive emotion without having to stretch into other theories. However, do you come across any studies which utilise other emotion-based or cognitive-based theories that have been used in research to explain positive emotional effects (e.g., maybe something like broaden and build theory), by all means include at least mention of these, but I don't think you need to go any further than the rest of what you've planned to provide a very good chapter. Image Good - suggest more detailed caption. References Reasonable. Italics Remove issue number for continuously numbered journals See new doi format Resources Technically good. Maybe there are some more specific links to resources that are directly about the topic - e.g., link to a time code in the youtube video that covers positive emotions?

Overall Overall, this is a well-developed, well-balanced chapter, however my sense is that it could have narrowed the focus more strongly onto the effects on positive emotions and that some literature about this may not have been included e.g., http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1369-1600.2008.00104.x/full, http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/ben/cnsnddt/2009/00000008/00000006/art00006 etc. Theory Theories were well described and explained. Perhaps more could be described about how/why Cannabis use can induce emotional "high". Research Research is well described, and a critical perspective is evident. See previous comments about perhaps including more research specifically about the topic. Written expression Written expression The chapter is well written, structured, and presented. Some paragraphs were overly long. Each paragraph should communicate one key idea in three to five sentences. Learning features Very good case study, although it could be improved by highlighting the effect on positive emotion. Similar issue with the Overview example: "Some may picture the long-lasting and damaging effects that cannabis has had on their child's brain development, while others may picture a grandparent with arthritis using cannabis oil to reduce horrid pain." - the emphasis here is on negative effects and positive physiological effects, but there is no comment about the effect on positive emotions, which should be the focus of this chapter. Good use of focus questions Interwiki links are well used. APA style Use ampersand (&) inside brackets and "and" outside brackets. All figures should be referred to in the text Check APA style for capitalisation of Table captions Table 1 has been simplified to only show the areas with comparisons Add full stop to end of et al. Overall Overall, this is a solid, basic presentation. Structure and content The focus could be narrowed and more disciplined around the assigned topic. Consider spending less time on definitional issues (takes up half of the presentation). Consider increasing the focus on cannabis -> positive emotions - and providing less focus on the physical effects. Well structured - not too much or too little content overall. Communication The presentation is easy to follow, and interesting to watch and listen to. Well narrated, with good visual communication. Production quality The audio quality varies somewhat between slides. Excellent use the full chapter title and sub-title on the opening slide and in the name of the video which helps to match the book chapter and to clearly convey the purpose of the presentation. Include links to each of the image sources because this is part of the condition of use for Creative Commons images.
