Talk:Motivation and emotion/Book/2016/Volunteering motivation: Altruism or egoism?
Comments
editHi I have found a very interesting article that you may find helpful to begin your chapter. It is titled: Why do they do it? A qualitative interpretive meta-synthesis of crisis volunteers' motivations. It can be accessed through the university library website using EBSCOhost http://web.b.ebscohost.com.ezproxy.canberra.edu.au/ehost/detail/detail?vid=4&sid=c07aa440-0b2a-4f0f-929f-c2ca31c2f455%40sessionmgr105&hid=116&bdata=#AN=93680595&db=heh The information in the introduction will help you with your definition and overview sections and also see page 328 for information regarding Maslow's hierarchy of needs which you could use for one of your main theoretical framework headings. The study yielded 6 themes which you could discuss throughout your chapter including:
- internal motivation to make an external difference
- volunteer existentialism
- lived experience
- internal/ personal fulfilment
- lack of support
- lack of direction
I hope this is helpful for you, best of luck! --LeoDean1993 (discuss • contribs) 09:25, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
Heading casing
editFYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings. For example, use:
==Cats and dogs== |
