Some people believe that music can also controls and helps relieve chronic pain. This is because music can attracts and engage with our attention and emotion, especially songs or pieces that we are familiar and prefer. These music have greater positive effects on pain tolerance, reduces anxiety and help us to increases the feelings of control over our pain. Yet, there is not much evident shows that how music influence the listeners but music is still using in some clinical settings such as palliative care, paediatrics or surgery. - u3165555

Overall, this is a solid chapter which covers theory very thoroughly to provided a well-grounded treatment; the chapter could probably be improved by abbreviating some theory to allow key research to be covered in more detail.
