Hey you may want to look at emotions like guilt, helplessness and avoidance. Maybe look at the amount that has to be done and feeling overwhelmed with the tasks and feeling like you cannot accomplish best result so leaving it till later. Mood is another important aspect that you may want to mention. All the best Iga.leszczynska (discusscontribs) 02:23, 9 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Zac, I've reall enjoyed your chapter. It was informative, easy to read and flowed logically from section to section. I loved your introduction case study, had a big chuckle at that. I felt that this is a quality chapter. A read over for spelling and grammar and punctuation will put that last polish on! Best of luck!--Ekclements (discusscontribs) 04:37, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey,

First of all I really like how you have added in your learning outcomes at the start. It adds a good "tone" for your chapter. In your green table on the right side you say "Research by Pychyl and a number of colleagues in 2000 investigated " - not too sure if a number of colleagues sounds very APA style.

I think that reparation and atonement could use a hyperlink to make it easier for people to understand and locate a definition.

I think the rest of your page looks really good so far, obviously noting there are some things you are still working on. I definitely think that the use of images will further enhance your page.

I also found this journal article which may help with your page: Krause, K., & Freund, A, M. (2014). How to beat procrastination: The role of goal focus. European Psychologist. 19(2). Pp 132 - 144. Doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.1027/1016-9040/a000153

The article can be found here.

Good Luck - --U3096823 (discusscontribs) 04:48, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey! Nice topic. I like the case studies used throughout the chapter and the evidence you've used to support your arguments. Just something that looked odd to me was that the title 'What is emotion and mood?' is a subtitle. I think it'd look nicer if it was changed to a proper heading as our chapters are based on either motivation or emotion and it's a key thing you're discussing, so having it as a larger title draws more attention to it. Maybe changing the first sentence about mood would be good to, just as you've mentioned mood and emotion are slightly different and then those words are used in the first line again to describe mood, but that's just a thought! Other than that, you've got some good external links, colour and different activities throughout. Good luck :) --Bt1718 (discusscontribs) 5:15, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi there. Really great book chapter. I love the use of the case study and the fact you've integrated that throughout the chapter. It helps explain the information to the reader in more relatable terms. Just a little suggestion, the 'Key Research, 5 days of emotion' text box disrupts the flow of your chapter a little, as its off to the side and the box looks a little overwhelming. Maybe consider keeping that box but changing the layout to landscape to make it easier to read? Other than that - great work! Love the use of a Ted video to break up the text. --Sgerstenberg (discusscontribs) 20:35, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi! So i really enjoyed reading your book chapter. i really loved all of the case studies that you put throughout the entire book chapter and also the video that was put in the center. It was great. Goodjob! Uu3148421 (discusscontribs) 07:38, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey, your chapter looks amazing. I really like you tropic as it probably effects many people in our classes doing this assignment, the case study you added is very relatable and easy to understand. I can't find anything that needs to be changed, your chapter looks very well thought out and it is very interesting to read. Great job!!

I proof-read your chapter and only picked up on a few spelling errors: you had 'prioritize' instead of the Australian spelling 'prioritise' (also utilise) - but I fixed these for you! Also theres heaps of references in your conclusion, which it makes it quite hard to read - since you've already referenced those points in previous sections I'm not sure it is necessary to include ALL those references again when you are summarising what you've already said? Up to you though, you're within the word count so its no big deal.

Looks good other than that! U3083676 (discusscontribs) 04:21, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Overall

edit
  1. Overall, this is a basic, but sufficient presentation.
  2. The presentation is too long.
  1. Use the Overview to set up the problem to be solved (the question i.e., the subtitle for the book chapter).
  2. Theory was reasonably covered; research wasn't covered.
  3. Include citations about evidence for claims.
  4. Perhaps consider using more illustrative examples.
  5. A Conclusion slide summarising the take-home messages / key points could be helpful.
  1. Very basic visual and audio.
  2. Consider using greater intonation to enhance engagement.
  1. Audio is fairly quiet and has some white noise - review microphone set-up.
  2. Rename the title so that it includes the subtitle (and matches the book chapter).
  3. Description is minimal but sufficient (e.g., add brief description of presentation, link back to the book chapter, license details).
  4. A copyright license for the presentation is not indicated (i.e., in the description or in the presentation slides).
