Overall, this is a promising chapter which could be improved by being better implemented in the wiki environment (e.g., using images which are licensed for re-use (or editing to remove use of these images)).
For more feedback see these copyedits and the comments below.
Avoid one sentence paragraphs. A paragraph should typically consist of three to five sentences.
Some paragraphs are overly long. Each paragraph should communicate one key idea in three to five sentences.
Layout
Use default heading styles; remove italics
The chapter is well-structured.
Tables are used extensively; but they need some tidying up and APA style captions.
No appropriate images were used.
Learning features
Several images were uploaded without appropriate copyright licensing and were hence deleted. The corresponding table needs to be fixed up / removed.
Add Interwiki links (e.g., to relevant Wikipedia articles and other Wikiversity book chapters) to make the text more interactive.
Quiz questions are used effectively to encourage reader engagement.
Spelling
Use Australian spelling (some general examples are hypothesize -> hypothesise, behavior -> behaviour).
Grammar and proofreading
The grammar of some sentences could be improved (e.g., see the [grammar?] tags).
Check and correct the use of ownership apostrophes (e.g., individuals vs. individual's vs. individuals').
Use abbreviations such as "e.g." inside brackets and "for example" outside brackets.
APA style
Check and correct the APA style for how to report numbers (Numbers under 10 should be written in words (e.g., five); numbers 10 and over should be written in numbers (e.g., 10)).
Check and correct the APA style formatting of in-text citations.

The accompanying multimedia presentation has been marked according to the marking criteria. Marks are available via the unit's Moodle site. Written feedback is provided below, plus see the general feedback page. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below. If you would like further clarification about the marking or feedback, contact the unit convener.
The main area for improvement is to focus more on content that relates directly to the question (i.e., How do MDEs affect motivation) and less on the preliminary/adjunct material (Parts 1 and 2, and the what is the effect of motivation on MDEs).
A link to the presentation is not provided from book chapter (a link has now been added).
Rename the title so that it includes the subtitle (and matches the book chapter).
Fill out the description field (e.g., brief description of presentation, link back to the book chapter, license details, and possibly include references, image attributions, and/or transcript).
The copyright licenses and sources for the images used is not indicated - there may have been copyright violation unless you own the copyright to the images used or these were public domain images.
A copyright license for the presentation is not indicated (i.e., in the description or in the presentation slides).
