Hi! I have found a useful source which addressed the association between height and suicide risk among a large sample of Swedish men. The study found a strong inverse relationship between height and suicide risk. Hope you find the source useful! Source: Magnusson, P., Gunnell, D., Tynelius, P., Smith, G., & Rasmussen, F. (2005). Suggestions
editHello! I have found some information which I feel may help you with your book chapter. Some height disorders include: Gigantism, a rare condition which causes abnormal growth in children generally caused by a pituitary glad tumor The pituitary gland makes hormones that control many of the function in the body such as sexual development, growth metabolism and urine production. If a tutor grows on the gland it creates excess growth hormones. . Turner syndrome, a rare chromosomal condition which affects development in females and causes short statue. i would also look at discussing how growth disorders how managed with the use of hormones. Also i would suggest you look into the biological theory to help explain growth disorders.
