Heading formatting - keep it simple
editFYI, I've stripped the chapter heading style back to the default - best to keep this simple e.g., as per Wikipedia style. -- Jtneill - Talk - c 10:57, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

editHey I just wanted to suggest linking our chapters. My chapter is about elective plastic surgery. You may want to consider looking at plastic surgery as part of your topic. Looking forward to reading it :) Iga.leszczynska (discuss • contribs)
Just An Idea
editHey there, you could possibly delve into the difference between major/multiple modification versus simple/singular modification! Looks like it will be a good read!
Also tidying up your topics. I know there isn't a lot of info in there right now and it will probably sort itself out while your write it; but just making sure you're not repeating yourself as two of your headings are quite similar. --Woodsie335 (discuss • contribs) 11:08, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
Suggestions
edithello! What an interesting topic you have chosen! I am definitely looking forward to reading your book chapter soon. Just a few suggestions to help you with your chapter. Firstly, i would suggest you look at Kohut's theory of narcissistic self. It basically discusses how humans use the use of pain to reintegrate a fragmented self. ref: McLean, J. (2007). Psychotherapy with a Narcissistic Patient Using Kohut's Self Psychology Model. Psychiatry (Edgmont), 4(10), 40. Hewitt, K. (1997) Mutilating the body: identity in blood and ink. Bowling Green State University Press : Ohio.
In conjunction with that you could also maybe even incorporate a small quiz allowing people to answer questions on why the have modified their body and how it made/makes them feel. All the best! --U3034876 (discuss • contribs) 03:12, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
