APA style captions for images and tables
editI recommend using APA style captions i.e., Figure 1, Figure 2 etc. for all images, graphs etc. and Table 1, Table 2 etc. for all tables. The caption text should not be in italics. Feedback
editHi! Really interesting topic you have chosen, but like you said- complex and technical! I think you've done really well so far. I would recommend expanding on some of the concepts- particularly info around core affect and conceptual knowledge. Possibly providing a practical example here? I think also integrating the practical applications into the content would be helpful- that way it may be easier to understand the theory and research and its applicability. I've also gone through and formatted some of the links you had in there- hopefully this is helpful! Good luck with the rest of your chapter.--U3068695 (discuss • contribs) 01:54, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi Claire
Your page is looking really good. I love that you've introduced it with a realistic example - it's very catching!
I've just got a couple of suggestions:
One of the first things I noticed is that the pictures are all down the right side. I was wondering if it would look better if some were on the left. For example, if you moved Figure 2 to the left it would balance the other pictures, but also change the layout of your words so they didn't appear to be in a block. I'd also be tempted to move figure 5 over also for the same reasons.
If you have the space for extra words you could put a box in and elaborate on what 'emotion' means (though your page isn't lacking for not having it from what I can see)
In the paragraph starting 'Barrett (2006b) suggests that behavioural responses' you have 2 sentences starting with 'Barrett suggests..'. It may read better if you change the second to 'It has been proposed...' and just cite Barrett.
I'd consider putting in links to a couple of techinical things like facial electromyography and Facial emotional granularity (there's a wikipedia link to both, I checked for you)
Other than that, it reads beautifully - it's informative and interesting. You've done a great job!
