Talk:Motivation and emotion/Book/2014/Cyber-bullying motivation
Comments
editHey! I was looking up some info for another assignment and came across this info from Queensland Government about cyberbullying - thought it might be worth a read for you? https://www.qld.gov.au/disability/children-young-people/bullying/facts.html U122096 (discuss • contribs) 07:29, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi! I was looking up some information and came across this journal article which might be beneficial for your topic: Are cyber-bullies really bullied? an investigation of reactive and proactive online aggression Might be a good counter-argument if you need one. http://web.b.ebscohost.com.ezproxy.canberra.edu.au/ehost/detail/detail?vid=9&sid=bd456765-82c0-431e-9c3a-242cec846123%40sessionmgr115&hid=125&bdata=
I came across this youtube video. Its a dance piece about cyberbullying - perhaps it could be included in your external resources section? It's a good visual aid for educating about cyberbullying :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5hwTeAsOhI U122096 (discuss • contribs) 05:12, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Anonymity articles
editFirstly, I like how you have defined bullying in the general, overall term and concept, and then followed that with a definition of what cyber-bullying is. Furthermore, I like how you have distinguished and explained the difference between the two, particularly your pointing out that the factors that make-up generic bullying are not necessarily factors of cyber-bullying. Good work!
I also came across some articles related to anonymity and cyber-bullying that may be of some assistance to you: http://web.a.ebscohost.com.ezproxy.canberra.edu.au/ehost/detail/detail?vid=7&sid=5b122d4d-1df7-4b89-9802-4707db13d0b2%40sessionmgr4005&hid=4112&bdata=#db=pdh&AN=2014-33478-001

APA style captions for images and tables
editI recommend using APA style captions i.e., Figure 1, Figure 2 etc. for all images, graphs etc. and Table 1, Table 2 etc. for all tables. The caption text should not be in italics. For more detail and examples, see http://libguides.newcastle.edu.au/content.php?pid=113807&sid=1208571 -- Jtneill - Talk - c 10:08, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
Excellent overview
editI love the overview - the examples work well as does the paragraph that follows; well done -- Jtneill - Talk - c 12:42, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
additional things to include
editI thought it might be interesting if you gave a definition of internet trolls and how they are cyber-bullies as well. You could write about how trolls set up hate groups online and they target people they usually don't know and why they would do this? --Hynes08 (discuss • contribs) 00:43, 24 October 2014 (UTC)

OveralleditOverall, this is a well developed presentation. Well done. Theories are well integrated and articulated. Research could have been more of a focus. The introduction section is a strength, and really engages the viewer. The 'Strategies to address cyber-bullying' slide helps to make the presentation practical and broadly relevant. A clearer conclusion would be a useful inclusion. Communication is generally good. The voice-over uses good expression, but is slightly too fast. The slides are well developed; effectively presenting the important information. Figures and images are used nicely throughout. Some text is too small (particularly in figures). The audio is 'fuzzy', with quite a low volume. The visual quality is good. There appears to be some lag in moving between slides. A link to the book chapter is provided. No copyright licence information is provided. |
