Talk:Motivation and emotion/Book/2014/Child emotional abuse
Comments
editHey there,
I read through your article and I noticed you haven't really incorporated how the law may handle emotional abuse, especially in children. It might be a little off topic but it would be interesting to see how emotional abuse is managed from a legal sense and how that effects the mental health of the victim. Emotional abuse is very hard to prove so I wonder if a person who suffered from emotional abuse, may experience other mental health problems associated with attempting to resolve the legal aspects of emotional abuse. Otherwise well done, this was an interesting read.

editHey, Noticed you don't have any information on how to deal with emotional abuse, I found this article that looks at a conceptual framework for dealing with emotional abuse. Its on google scholar and UC has access to it, its called How to deal with emotional abuse and neglect—Further development of a conceptual framework (FRAMEA) by Danya Glaser. Hope this helps and gives you a good starting place

editWhat a great chapter. From looking at the previous comments it seems as though you have been taking aboard any recommendations and doing what you can to improve your chapter which is great. My only recommendation is that perhaps you make the long term/short term impacts a bit more noticeable through categorising the effects in either one of these categories. Otherwise, I think you've done really well. You are one of the first people i've seen who have explicitly defined the problem which is great to see! Also, just be careful with how much colour you use - this can get a little confusing at times. Goodluck! JacquelineSpence (discuss • contribs) 011:21, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
Heading formatting
editI recommend using default formatting for titles and headings. This helps make the content visually accessibility for those with visual impairments and helps to display the content on different types of devices. -- Jtneill - Talk - c 11:04, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
APA style captions for images and tables
editI recommend using APA style captions i.e., Figure 1, Figure 2 etc. for all images, graphs etc. and Table 1, Table 2 etc. for all tables. The caption text should not be in italics. Reference List
editHi, just following the APA formatting style, the reference list should be indented to be hanging, so I've just fixed that up for you :) --Can Rogerthat (discuss • contribs) 23:29, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
