Talk:Motivation and emotion/Book/2014/Aggression in intimate relationships
Relevant theory to add to your topic
editI found your article on this topic extremely interesting, as it followed similar themes from my own book chapter on abusive relationships and emotional dependency. The chapter was very well-written, particularly how you wrote about different theories that contribute to aggression in intimate relationships. However, I was slightly surprised that there was no mention of the Attachment Theory, which can distinctly demonstrate why and how people act a certain way in relationships. Possibly you could add this relevant theory into your research to explore more deeply into how people's childhood can explain aggression in romantic relationships. Overall, well done! -- User: LucyWilson546 10:52, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
Useful Articles
editHey, I'm doing my chapter on cultural influences on aggression. In my research I came across this article http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs10896-013-9505-1 The study investigates physical aggression between partners in a cultural context. I thought it may be of some benefit to your research. The article can be accessed in full from the UC library databases. Hope you find it of some interest!
