Wikiversity:Vision/2020
It's close to the end of the year, so I'm not sure it's appropriate to put together a "grand vision" for a month. But considering this is the year of Covid and other things, it might be worth giving it a bit of a try.
One thing I'd like to do is do more promotion. WV is a small project, but it has a lot of potential. It's not like we are suffering from lack of resources on the educational side -- there are some high quality ones out there -- it's just that there are lots of mediocre or low quality ones. The idea should be to promote the best, and encourage people to improve ones that are not up to that standard.
- As an addition, while I think it's great to create stubs and be aspirational, I think it would be better to encourage people to create whole chunks which compose complete thoughts or bits. I'm looking through some resources that haven't been updated in a few years, and strewn throughout are red-links. I think one or two red links are okay, but when a majority of the links are red it looks like the resource is incomplete. (My thought here is one or two encourage people to add, where more make the resource seem lacking or half finished). I mean, it's a wiki, if you have a good link (or want to create one) it's just a quick edit away.
