Is there a policy about making policy?

I guess that would some WMF policy? I noted this template indicates that "actual policy discussions will take place at the Wikiversity beta multi-lingual website", but really not sure about the linking to http://beta.wikiversity.org/wiki/Wikiversity:Research_guidelines/En ? -- Jtneill - Talk - c 01:56, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Why would there be a policy about making policies? Sounds a bit silly if you ask me. I don't think there is any such policy. If there is such a policy, the policy is probably that policy must reflect community consensus. As I understand things, Beta Wikiversity is intended to be the place to develop policies that should effect all Wikiversity projects. This may have come about due to some unique differences Wikiversity introduced that people felt needed to be consistent across all Wikiversity project. I don't really know the history on that just what I take to be how things were setup when Wikiversity started. I also have no idea what policies should be developed at Beta and what ones should be developed here. I'm just inclined to say if Beta has a policy it probably applies here already, so why develop one here? -- darklama  03:01, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
