Is there some other way to do this? Perhaps not Seinfeld? I am thinking of ideas, but others may have more!

Hold on! edit

Um, maybe we should star with what we want the movie to say (via vote?), then move on to how make it say it, then focus on writing the script, eh? Of course, in wikiworld, the script gets written *before* the movie's topic is defined--Rayc | (Talk) 05:34, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ok. But, what is the movie going to be about?--Rayc | (Talk) 17:27, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

--- Hey everyone, hoping to get involved with this.

Not sure about Seinfeld. We do need to be very clear about what this DVD is! What are we trying to get across with the film?

I would put it as...

  • 1. What Wikiversity is - its unique strengths over standard studies (ie. free, new styles of learning etc)
  • 2. Why is this a valid learning source? (ie. give confidence to 'students' that this is accurate, useful information!)
  • 3. Collaborative nature. Appealling not only to potential students but to potential authors.

Those are the three main things I can think of. This is, after all, surely an advertisement?

That podcast was good. How do you make it?--Rayc 18:10, 17 September 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There are some parts of that Seinfeld idea that could work - and some parts are funny - but I honestly think that, on the whole, it's more confusing than anything else. I think we could come up with something better - punchier (ie. shorter), more focussed, and funnier. However, the timeline for doing this is pretty tight if production really is the end of January...
