Neutral point of view
editI also suggest for "General guidelines" that:
- For subjects lacking scientific agreement, content should preferably be written in a neutral point of view, that is, representing fairly, proportionately, and, as far as possible, without editorial bias, all of the significant views on the topic.

Acknowledgement sections
editI suggest that we add a section on this matter, largely based on: http://awelu.srv.lu.se/sources-and-referencing/writing-acknowledgements/:
"It is appropriate to acknowledge funding bodies, departments and individuals who have assisted during the project, such as financial and editorial assistance. It should generally contain:
- The full name of each person or organization given credit.
- A brief description of the nature of the assistance from each person or organization.
It should be neutral in regard to politics or religion."

Broken link
editIn the Criteria for inclusion section, the hyperlink for "the submission form for details", http://form.wikijmed.org/
does not work. - Mark D Worthen PsyD (talk) 19:38, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Markworthen: Thanks for pointing this out and apologies for the delay. It's now replaced with {{authorship declaration form}} so that the link can be universally synchronised with that template. We used to have to use
http://form.wikijmed.org/
because google forms were not allowed by WV edit filters, but there is now a specific exception for that form so that we can link directly to the URL via that template. T.Shafee(Evo﹠Evo)talk 02:17, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
Submission page forwards to Preprints page
editIn the Author instructions: summary section is this sentence: "Articles are preferably submitted via this submission page." The hyperlinked text points to: https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/WikiJournal_User_Group/Submission
, which forwards to: https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/WikiJournal_Preprints
. The title "Preprints" might confuse some potential authors. I'm not sure how to address this potential confusion. Maybe a parenthetical explanation of the Preprints page? - Mark D Worthen PsyD (talk) 20:31, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Markworthen: I see what you mean. Currently the section at the top just says "This preprint server allows you to create and edit your draft before submission for external peer review. Once you are happy with your article, submit it by filling in the authorship declaration form and academic peer review will be organised for you". Do you have a feel for what might be a clearer opening paragraph for most people? The opening sentences are only shown on WikiJournal User Group/Submission, but individual journal submission pages (like WikiJournal_of_Medicine/Submission) transclude the submission section onwards (i.e. everything except that lead section). Once re-worded, it'd be worth transcluding the explanation from WikiJournal User Group/Submission through to those pages too. T.Shafee(Evo﹠Evo)talk 02:24, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
Author guidelines
editAny objections to expressing it (generally) in the indicative present, to replace the continual should, should, should?
All results needed to support the conclusions should be are clearly presented, including appropriate controls and statistical tests. Diagrams should be are clear and easy to interpret if presented with the figure and its legend in isolation. Tony1 (discuss • contribs) 01:41, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
