editI think this page and debate could be renamed to change "ChatGPT" to "LLMs" (large language models) because none of the arguments are about ChatGPT per se; the issue is about LLMs more generally. -- Jtneill - Talk - c 10:25, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, agree and the same issue exists on Kialo...I don't know why people equate LLMs with ChatGPT and do so much free marketing for that company. Prototyperspective (discuss • contribs) 11:23, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- I would not object if someone redoes (renames and adapts) the page to e.g. Should Wikiversity allow editors to post content generated by generative AI? (the language of Generative AI is used by Stack Overflow's linked page) or Should Wikiversity allow editors to post content generated by LLM? (Or plural "LLMs"?) However, some arguments seem specifically about ChatGPT, traced to sources about ChatGPT, which would weaken these arguments (applying them to generative AI as a whole would include a generalization, even if possibly valid one). As part of such a renaming, one should perhaps add the requisite objections where applicable, i.e. "The above is about ChatGPT specifically and does not necessarily generalize to all generative AI". --Dan Polansky (discuss • contribs) 12:21, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
