Hi u3104765

I came across an interesting study on attachment security and temperament and thought it might be useful for your chapter. It showed that the role of genetics was negligible on secure vs insecure attachment but that it was 77% of temperamental differences. Its available in the UC library.

Bokhorst, C. L., Bakermans‐kranenburg, M. J., Fonagy, P., & Schuengel, C. (2003). The importance of shared environment in mother–infant attachment security: A behavioral genetic study. Child Development, 74(6), 1769-1782.

Look forward to reading your chapter since it explores a similar theme to mine (emotional development in early childhood). Happy to read it for you if you want any feedback.

All the best

Overall edit

This is an interesting chapter, which covers the topic comprehensively. Nice job!

Theory edit

Theories are correctly identified, and explained particularly thoroughly - well done. To improve further, include some evidence of critical thinking in the discussion around theories.

Research edit

Some really interesting research is presented. Greater empirical support for the theoretical constructs presented can improve the chapter.

Written expression edit

The chapter is well presented and the structure is logical. APA referencing style is generally well done, however please ensure that all information taken from the literature is referenced. Be mindful of American spelling throughout. Also, be careful of sweeping statements e.g. "use of a single parenting style...will cause psychological harm. Try to be more tentative e.g. "may cause psychological harm". ShaunaB (discusscontribs)

Overall edit

A nice chapter with clear communication of ideas - well done!

Structure and content edit

This presentation focuses heavily on theory, and includes limited direct reference to key research. The structure is logical, and the flow between ideas is fluid.

Communication edit

The presentation is delivered clearly and confidently. Audio and visuals are quite engaging, but could be improved by using pictures. The use of illustrative examples would improve the presentation.

Production quality edit

Picture and sound quality are good. A good use of production tools helps to make the presentation feel quite professional. ShaunaB (discusscontribs)
