Nice work getting some headings started :) Might I suggest referring back to our Cognitive Psychology essay on False Memories for some ideas? False mems are shown to be highly susceptible to emotion. Highly emotional significant life events are more susceptible to distortion when encoding/retrieving the memory. Think of the victim of a robbery who falsely identifies a culprit as having waved a gun in their face because the initial memory was emotionally charged and not accurately retained at the time. Also I think that we are more likely to have more more highly accessible memories for emotional events than everyday events. eg. the life-script hypothesis (or whatever it was called) where you selectively remember, for example, your wedding or college graduation easier than what you ate for breakfast the day before your wedding or college grad. Hi, your page is looking great. In addition to the above comments, may I suggest that it also might be interesting to investigate if certain emotions (particularly happy emotions) help the encoding of memories, for example is an individual more likely to remember something that was encoded at a time of extreme joy? I talk about anticipation originally coming from a memory of past events and the emotions felt. I hope that makes sense... Was doing youtube browse this morning of ted talks and there was a fascinating talk by 2002 nobel prize winning psychologist Daniel Kahneman, its called the riddle of experience vs. memory. I would definitely recommend watching it and maybe add to an external link section.

Hopefully this isn't too late to help you with your chapter but I came across this in one of my articles. It mentions that when individuals suppress their emotions it can result in memory impairments especially in a social context. This is mainly due to the individual exerting cognitive resources to perform the regulation of their emotion.

Overall, this chapter is well prepared - some really useful and interesting information has been put forward. Isn't memory a fascinating topic?

This was an area that could be improved. There is little reference to specific theoretical constructs. To improve further, read widely, then select a few important theoretical perspectives and explore them thoroughly.

Some really interesting and important research is been put forward - well done! Explanations were clear. To improve further, include some critical analysis of the literature in order to achieve a more well-rounded piece of work.

Good use of headings made the work easy to follow, although it lacks flow in parts (particularly the introduction). The memory test is a great idea! Remember that this piece is aimed at an intelligent layperson, so be mindful of discussing terms that have not been defined. APA style was generally well done. ShaunaB (discusscontribs)

A clearly presented multimedia presentation - well done!

This presentation is very nicely structured, with a clear and logical flow from start to finish. While chapter content is generally well summarised, the focus on concepts associated with memory is perhaps too strong, which leaves little room for an adequate discussion around research.

Communication was clear and speech was well paced throughout. To improve further, try to be more creative with your presentation to make it more engaging to the audience.

Picture quality is good, and sound quality was also adequate. The production came across as quite professional - well done! ShaunaB (discusscontribs)
