What an interesting topic - and I loved the ghost logo at the top. This should be a topic that is introduced at both primary & high schools. You should develop this further and get it published - and collaborate with a graphic artist to include a children's workbook - very well done - Magnolia

    1. This represents a promising chapter exploring the highly interesting and evocative emotion of fear. It starts well, with specific focus questions, well-defined relevant theories, elaboration and integration of research into the framework; however it is clearly unfinished and would benefit from more comprehensive research, theory and text.

    1. Definitions of fear and emotion are well treated and the way examples are provided to illustrate the different components of emotion works very well in the context of fear.
  1. Research comments
    1. More references need to be provided in text to support the assertions being made.
    2. Methods for mitigating death anxiety seem to be around the mark for a self-help chapter. Expanding this aspect of the chapter to include management of other fears may strengthen it.
    3. Integration of the experiments on terror management theory into the theoretical framework was well done and highlighted in a reflection box.
  1. Written expression comments
    1. The general clarity of writing style and tone is great! However, the meaning of some sentences is unclear (e.g., “ from babies to adults of the third age”).
    2. References should be in APA author date format, not footnotes, and the reference list could more closely adhere to APA style (e.g., italicise journal titles and volume numbers). Avoid contractions in formal writing.
    3. The use of images, boxes and quotes are great features for the topic.
