Notes about this lesson plan

edit

I rather ran out of inspiration at the productive (userspace editing) phase, which is short. It would be good to have some more ideas for focussed/purpose-driven editing of the userpage, which push students to use the Wikipedia Cheatsheet. Students should also be sensitised or re-sensitised to the dangers of revealing personal information on the web. In connection with this, they should be told that the page history allows their deleted contributions to be recovered and read by any other user. --McCormack 11:36, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Wiki Nature" - taught or evolves naturally?

edit

I'm new to this whole world, and wondered if, when you teach this, do you overtly teach the concept of 'wiki nature' or wiki spirit of collaboration, trust, respect, desire to keep an objective record to the class, or does that spirit some how evolve on its own?

Re-Invent the Wheel?

Please check Wikieducator as they have a well developed learning package on this. Can we not find ways of working with wikieducator rather than repeating what they have already done?Harrypotter 13:24, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
