Merging content from Capacitor
editI have no objection to having the content of the resource Capacitor being added to this resource. --Marshallsumter (discuss • contribs) 01:51, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Since an IP has converted the resource Electronics/Capacitors to a formula synopsis, this content should remain as is, be merged with Electrochemical capacitors, used to retake Capacitors by removing the redirect, or have content added! --Marshallsumter (discuss • contribs) 00:45, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
- It seems to me that the formulas are not adding significant educational value by themselves and should be added as subpages of the corresponding articles rather than as primary content. -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 00:59, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
- I agree! Not all capacitors can be considered part of Electronics, e.g., Electrochemical capacitors. This particular formula synopsis could be a subpage of Capacitors since it deals with capacitor formulas! What do you think? --Marshallsumter (discuss • contribs) 02:15, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'm looking at the situation much more broadly, in that the anonymous editor is causing similar problems with a variety of learning projects. -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 14:10, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- I've noticed a number of these formula synopses, e.g. with the lecture Physics. These synopses are what some refer to as cheat sheets for upcoming exams. I agree they "are not adding significant educational value and should be added as subpages of the corresponding articles rather than as primary content." For example, Electronics is defined by Wiktionary as the "study and use of electrical devices that operate by controlling the flow of electrons or other electrically charged particles". It was originally a course but now many of its lessons have been reduced to formula synopses. One solution would be to subpage the synopsis to the earlier course resource. What do you have in mind? --Marshallsumter (discuss • contribs) 01:48, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Fundamental Mathematics is one that with its subpages could be put as a subpage of Mathematics. The unknown language appearing on some synopses looks like Vietnamese. --Marshallsumter (discuss • contribs) 05:56, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
