Remember this:
If an adjective comes before a noun with a definite article ("de" or "het"), it gets the ending -e
If an adjective comes after a noun with a definite article ("de" or "het"), it does not get the ending -e
- Klein/Kleine (Kleine for plural) - Small
- Onbeleefd - Rude
- Groot - Big
- Snel - Fast
- Kort - Short
- Langzaam - Slow
- Zacht - Soft/Squishy
- Licht - Light
- Donker - Dark
- Zwak (or Zwakke (with a "het" word)) - Weak
- Sterk (or Sterke (with a "het" word)) - Strong
- Zwaar (or Zware (with a "het" word)) - Heavy
- Hard (or Harde (with a "het" word)) - Hard
- Zuur (or Zure (with a "het" word)) - Sour
- Zoet - Sweet
- Belangrijk - Important
- Jong (not Jongen) - Young
- Oud - Old
- Moeilijk - Difficult
- Slecht - Bad
- Goed - Good
- Duur - Expensive
- Vers - Fresh
- Interessant - Interesting
- Leeg - Empty
- Vol - Full of
- Goedkoop - Cheap
- Gratis - Free
- Rijp - Ripe
- Warm - Warm
- Koud - Cold
- Net Zoals - Just like
- Schoon - Clean
- Rustig - Quiet
- Nat - Wet
- Droog - Dry
