Enhancing Student-Supervisor Interaction: Developing an ICT enable framework for undergraduate thesis supervision in Sri Lankan management degree programs.

How ICT can be used to enhance student-supervisor interaction in the theses supervision process at Sri Lankan management degree programs.

1.1. Objectives

Overall objective Develop an ICT support framework for enhancing student-supervisor interaction in the thesis process relevant for undergraduate programs in Sri Lanka.

Objectives

1. Identify characteristics that are supporting or limiting student-supervisor interaction during thesis supervision process at the management level undergraduate programs in Sri Lanka. 2. Exploring areas that ICT tools can apply to strengthening student-supervisor interaction supervision with relevant theories and previous studies. 3. Developing and use of a prototype to test the potential supporting activities in student-supervisor interaction. 4. Assessment of effectiveness and formulate a framework for developing ICT support systems for enhancing student-supervisor interaction.

Overall question How to use ICT for student supervisor interaction? 1. What is the current status of student supervisor interaction management undergraduate level programs in Sri Lanka? 2. What characteristics can be identified as supporting or limiting successful student-supervisor interaction in management undergraduate level programs in Sri Lanka? 3. What areas can be enhanced with use of ICT and what are the relevant theories and previous studies? 4. What features should be considered when developing an ICT supporting system to strengthening/enhancing/improving student supervisor interaction?
