Growth in HGAPS
editIf you are looking to take on more of a role in your HGAPS chapter, you should:
edit- Designate more time to work on projects outside of the weekly HGAPS meeting
- Make sure you are attending at least 70% of the meetings
- Ask your project leader for more work to do
- Learn to edit Wikipedia/Wikiversity
- Completed all wiki trainings
- Complete tasks/assignments that you have been given in HGAPS (be reliable and a finisher)
- Compile your work in HGAPS to show why you should be given more responsibility
- For example, links to pages you have worked on Wiki(versity/pedia/media) and your wiki username, Infographics, Social media post drafts, google docs/sheets you worked on, OSF links, Qualtrics, Work logs/report outs of what you did during/outside the meetings, Zotero folders, etc.
Now you are ready to ask for a greater role and have the tools to do it!
edit- Talk to the current executive members about opportunities to grow
- This could include becoming a project leader
- Running for an Outreach Position or creating your own position
- Planning an edit-a-thon
