Okay, so, I'm not sure if the paper I picked was quite what you wanted - but it was the one I got.

Basically, in short, there was a dude named Ernst Mach who developed a theory about what knowledge truly 'is'. This paper seems to be analyzing his theory through a modern lense, specifically with tech like the photo and photographs.

Most of his sources seemed to be other similar papers and books, so, I presume he just went to the library and looked them up lol.

I think the most interesting conclusion was really only interesting to me - is in a play called Cyrano de Bergerac a device very similar to a photograph was described, one that was able to reproduce human voices with a crank. Logically, I know that might've been the next step, but it's cool to see someone predicting it regardless.
