editSmartisan is a Chinese technology company that manufactures mobile Internet terminal equipment. The company's mission is to create a world-class digital consumer product (smartphone-based) with perfectionist craftsmanship to improve people's quality of life.
The company's name "Smartisan" is a combination of "smart" and "artisan", meaning "artisans in the era of smartphones." Smartisan team is particularly good at designing software graphical interface, user experience design and versing in hardware industrial design.
History
editOn April 8,2012, Smartisan currently CEO Luo Yonghao said on Weibo that the registered company would start to make mobile phones.
On May 15,2012, Smartisan was established. At the beginning of the angel investment, the company was valued at US$7.35 million. At the end of the first round of formal financing in May 2013, the capital market was valued at US$ 69.12 million.
On May 28, 2012, Smartisan (Beijing) Co., Ltd. was formally established with a registered capital of US$440 thousand. The business scope is based on software services and application software services, technology development, technical services, technical consultation and technology transfer. It does not involve the manufacture or sale of mobile devices.
In June 2012, Luo Yonghao revealed in his speech at the North Exhibition Theater that he would first do ROM and then make a mobile phone.
On March 27, 2013, Smartisan officially released the Smartisan OS operating system.
About Smartisan CEO
editLuo yonghao was born in Jilin Province, China in 1972. He is the author of My Struggle , The Adventures of an Idealist[1].
He worked as a teacher in Beijing New Oriental School from 2001 to 2006. Because of his humorous and highly appealing style, he was very popular among students.
In June 2006 he resigned from New Oriental. In August of the same year, the unique blog website “Niubo.com” was established. It became one of the most influential Chinese websites among college students, literary youth, media practitioners, and intellectual elites.
In June 2008, he founded an English training institution.
On April 8, 2012, Luo Yonghao announced to establish a smartphone company. [2]

editBeijing time on May 20, 2014, two years after the company was founded, Smartisan's first mobile phone SmartisanT1 was officially released. The phone uses an almost completely symmetrical design and physical on-screen buttons. The 16GB version is priced at US$441, and the 32GB version is priced at US$463.
On February 28th, 2015, the Smartisan T1 smartphone won the 62nd iF Design Award.
2.Smartisan U1
editAt 19:30 on August 25, 2015. Smartisan held a new product launch conference at the Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center, officially releasing Smartisan U1. It also called“Nuts Mobile Phone”, which is positioned in the young user community of the city. It combines simple and elegant industrial design, extremely user-friendly experience and excellent hardware configuration, which is more in line with the temperament aesthetics and usage requirements of young people. The 16G version is priced at US$133, and the 32G version is priced at US$147.
3.Smartisan T2
editOn the afternoon of December 29, 2015, Smartisan held a new product launch conference at the Beijing National Convention Center, officially releasing the second product of its Smartisan T series, the Smartisan T2. T2 completely hides the SIM card slot and combines the side buttons and the card slot. And it removes the metal mid-frame antenna breakpoints. The price is US$367(16GB), US$382 (32GB)
4.Smartisan M1/M1L
editThe Smartisan M1 and M1L continue the simple and elegant design of the Smartisan series of mobile phones, two-in-one sensor and handset, symmetric buttons on both sides, and a metal frame without breaks. At the same time, bold use of new materials and processes: matte aluminum alloy and mirror stainless steel all-metal non-breaking middle frame, as well as the new body color and material of coffee gold leather. 5.Smartisan R1
editOn May 15, 2018, Smartisan R1 released in Beijing Bird's Nest. At that time, there were more than 36,000 people at the press conference[3]. Smartisan R1 uses a back glass material for fingerprint recognition and also supports facial recognition to unlock. It is combined with the hammer logo and is available in carbon black and pure white. And it has the biggest version with up to 1T of storage. [4]
