Collaborative computing/Host, router & subnet
Host: A network host is a computer connected to a computer network. A network host may offer information resources, services, and applications to users or other nodes on the network.
Router: A router is a device that connect two or more transmission lines within a single network. The common name for a machine (router) that makes a connection between two networks is a gateway.
Subnet: A subnetwork, or subnet, is a subdivision of an IP network. It may also refer to a grouping of transmission lines and routers between hosts.
Combined interaction: A host is a physical machine that shares information on a network. The host needs a router in order to get the information through to a subnetwork.
