Abstract

In-depth treatment of Ethiopian philosophy plus an anthology of several texts translated into English (from Ge'ez) by the author:

• Sections of "The Physiologue", "The book of Philosophers" and "The life and Maxims of Skendes"

these are translations into Ge'ez adapted or augmented by the translators to Ethiopian thinking. In that sense, they can be called "Ethiopian philosophy"

• "The treatise of Zera Yacob" (complete text)
• Parts of the "Treatise of Walda Heywat"

The latter two are original Ethiopian philosophy.
