Wise Affirmations/Overcoming hate

Hate is a human emotion. Hatred can invoke feelings of animosity, anger, or resentment, which can be directed against certain individuals, groups, entities, objects, behaviors, concepts, or ideas. Fortunately, we can learn to overcome our hate.

More than 4400 African American men, women, and children were hanged, burned alive, shot, drowned, and beaten to death by white mobs between 1877 and 1950. The National Memorial for Peace and Justice helps us overcome hatred.

These affirmations are derived from materials in the course on overcoming hate.
