Wildlife conservation

Whenever the issue of drought [1] comes into concern we talk about scarcity of water, food to fellow human, our livelihood. But the most vulnerable lot is wildlife, for which we will be be least bothered. When it comes to wildlife protection and conservation we have hundreds of rules made by our own people. we need to take care of the balance in the environment for smooth running for which we need to protect and conserve wildlife. so how to conserve: first of all, people need to understand the importance of it. only then the real practice of protection can be bought in. then comes various methods like in-situ, and ex-situ conservation. In situ conservation is where wildlife and habitat is protected within the site. Ex situ conservation is where wildlife is protected in an artificial condition. If we consider the freedom provided to wildlife, in situ conservation is the better one but due to lack of proper space and protection we go for ex situ conservation techniques.these are all projects taken by governmental and non governmental organisation. as a common citizen how we can help to conserve and protect wildlife: 1. deforestation must be reduced. because of deforestation thousands of wild organisms are losing their shelters. Afforestation should be done. planting variety of plants in our surroundings will invite lots of organisms like bird,butterfly. 2.if you are visiting any places like wildlife sanctuary, national parks, zoo, it should be our prime responsibility to keep the surrounding neat and clean. 3. try to increase the awareness among people about wildlife conservation and its importance. these are few ways by which we can try to contribute towards conservation of wildlife. coming to contributions from government side we have national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, bird sanctuaries, zoos wherein wild animals are protected.we also have sperm collections. As the improvement in biotechnology we now can store the genome of a particular animal and use it further for our purposes.4) Plant trees as much as you can
