The complete Internet protocol suite is open. The goal of the following lessons is to understand the Internet Protocol Suite with its 4 layers commonly known as TCP/IP Protocol family. Completing the Block on Internet Architecture you will
- understand the design principles of the web (decentrality, openness and interoperability)
- understand the internet protocoll suite
- know at least one protocol from each layer of the internet protocol suite (Ethernet, IP, TCP, DNS)
- have a basic understanding on how internet service providers operate
