Template:Essay review/doc
This template is for formally reviewing essays.
Usage edit
The template is intended to be used in conjunction with a formal review, and summarises the review findings. It should be added to the top of the page being reviewed, and will appear on the right side of the page when complete. The basic format is:

Parameters edit
- Title (optional): Specifies the title of the essay. If it is not specified, the page title will be used instead.
- Author: Specifies the author of the essay being reviewed. If left blank, a question mark icon will be displayed.
- Wordcount: The number of words in the article. If left blank, a question mark icon will be displayed.
- Copyright: Whether or not the essay met the copyright requirements. Acceptable values are good, bad, true, false, passed or failed. If one of those values are entered the template will display a tick or cross icon. If no value is included it will display a question mark. Optionally, a value outside of that range can be added, which will then be displayed as text.
- Referencing: Whether or not the essay met the referencing requirements. Acceptable values are good, bad, true, false, passed or failed. If one of those values are entered the template will display a tick or cross icon. If no value is included it will display a question mark. Optionally, a value outside of that range can be added, which will then be displayed as text.
- Structure: Whether or not the essay met the structure requirements. Acceptable values are good, bad, true, false, passed or failed. If one of those values are entered the template will display a tick or cross icon. If no value is included it will display a question mark. Optionally, a value outside of that range can be added, which will then be displayed as text.
- Overall rating: A numeric value between 0 and 5.
- Closing comments (optional): Any additional comments left by the reviewer. This should be a short summary – longer comments can be left on the formal review page. If left blank, this field will not be displayed.
