Talk:What is History

To be honest, I think every single course in the School of History could use this as an introductory element. I would recommend placing this at large for the entire school, instead of tailoring or including it in a specific course. You're welcome, of course, to list it within European History to 1648, but this seems too valuable to let it be claimed by that course alone. Does that make sense? Be my guest! Feel free to use it in any other part of the school or course etc, as long as it will be usefull to others.Dilos1 17:29, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Is it okay if I remove the course-specific banner at the top? The Jade Knight (d'viser) 06:07, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, but there must be a link back to the History of Europe to 1648 main project page for those who will be attending the specific course. I suggest we either move it to the bottom of the page or make it smaller, more unoticable or add one more link back to the School of History page. I do not mind removing the banner but as the links on the left part of the Wiki pages under the Wikiversity logo are very general, new and inexpienced users may be lost. What do you think? Certainly, it would be appropriate to link to the School of History—I'm just thinking if this gets used for multiple courses, it might be odd having the reference to one specific course at the top. The Jade Knight (d'viser) 08:59, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK. let's make this a general school of history page. We can discuss it again if s'thing comes up in the future.Dilos1 12:01, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome to put these where you like, but as an FYI, they're traditionally placed at the bottom of the page, just above inter-wiki links. The Jade Knight (d'viser) 07:47, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
