Hi - I notice that the name "Pythagoras" is spelt "Pithagoras" in this article....Is this an Americanism that I'm not aware of...? Should I edit the article...?

As far as I am aware, the correct spelling is Pythagoras. Yes, I think you should edit the page. More precisely, I think someone should edit it. Be bold. JohnCSUB05 15:10, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

In general, I see that there are several problems with this article, which itself states that it is in need of contributors to help expand and improve it. Obviously not much work has been done to this in a looong time. Is anyone alive out there??? I suppose that I will start by making minor changes to the existing content. Hopefully, this will stimulate a flurry of constructive activity, or at the very least a series of flames directed one against another JohnCSUB05 15:17, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

What is the target audience? edit
Cauchy Series and Dedekind Cuts are both valid ways to define the real numbers, but are beyond the level of the typical College Algebra student.
