Talk:The Holy Quran

As most of Muslim scholars agree that the revelation of holy Quran started in the Lailat-ul-Qadir, a night in the odd dates of the last 10 days of holy Ramazan, when hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) was 40 years old and the revelation continued in verses (except surah almaida which was revealed completely in one time) during the last 23 years of the last holy prophet hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). Companions of hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) would mostly memorize the revelations in verses as a few companions were able to write them. Later on the holy Quran was compiled during the caliphate of third pious caliph, hazrat Usman (ra). The holy Quran in printed or written form available with most of us is mostly the same compilation preserved over generations. The first revelation was the starting few verses of surah al-alaq and the last revelation was the verse'Al-yauma akmaltu lakum...'. There are haffaz also who have been memorizing the holy Quran since the holy life-time of hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). Some of such haffaz have been poltically victimized during various regimes and reigns for their allegiance to hazrat Ali (as), the first masoom Imam of Aulia Allah (friends of Alla). It is worth mentioning here that hazrat Ali (as) was hazrat Muhammad's (pbuh) first paternal cousin i.e. hazrat Muhammad's paternal uncle, hazrat Abu Talib's son. Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) got his daughter, hazrat Fatima (ra) married to hazrat Ali (as). Thus hazrat Ali (as) became Hazrat Muhammad's son in law also. Hazrat Ali (as) accepted Islam, when he was a 10-year old child, and became the first Muslim child among all children. A sizable Muslim population all over the world believes that hazrat Ali (as) was the first and last ever person so far who was born in the holy Kaaba, known as BaituAllah (the house of Allah). Hazrat Imam Hasan (as) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (as) were Hazrat Imam Ali's sons from hazrat Fatima (ra). Hazrat Zainab (ra) and hazrat Kulsoom (ra) were hazrat Ali's daughters from hazrat Fatima (ra). Hazrat Mohsin (ra), hazrat Ali's son from hazrat Fatima (ra) was martyred before birth. Hazrat Ali (as) had many other children from some other wives also. Prominent among them were hazrat Abbas Alamdar (ra) and hazrat Muhammad Hanfia (ra).
