Ancient worldview comments
edit@SheaNewman: Great topic to write about. Some things you should do:
- Pick a subheading label for this. It will make you think of a brief way to describe what exactly you are talking about, and will make room for someone else to add their own discussion. So, how would you describe this aspect of the ancient worldview you are talking about?
- Find another example to complement what you say about Aegisthus. Maybe check out what happens to the suitors later in the book. Ideally, you'll find something that matches what you say about the treatment of the bodies of the deceased re: Aegisthus. Or, you might find something that is a bit different and causes you to expand a bit or nuance what you are talking about.
- You leave it implicit, but make sure to state exactly why Aegisthus deserves this kind of treatment. Can you generalize about Greek attitudes about the deceased based on the example of Aegisthus?
