Talk:SCCAP/Resources for Dealing with a School Shooting/Psychological First Aid
Special thanks to Anna Van Meter, PhD, for generating the outline for the first draft! This page was started in response to the shooting in Parkerson, Florida in February 2018. The goal is to organize materials quickly enough to be helpful to that community, and also to build a set of pages that aggregate resources for responding to traumatic events in general. The Wiki format makes it possible for others to add suggestions and add links to customized pages.
The pages are being built as a joint effort between a student service organization, Helping Give Away Psychological Science (HGAPS), and a professional society, the Society for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (SCCAP). The content integrates curated resources from many other professional groups.

Please Don't Delete the Files from the Page
editThe copies of the infographics that we are linking to the page are the work of the student authors who posted them. The intention is to get them all tagged as CC-BY-SA 3.0 or later, so that they are Wikimedia compatible. The last day of classes at UNC was in April, and then the students were taking finals and now are scattered for summer. We have a skeleton crew that may be able to get the files CC-BY-SA tagged and re-uploaded over the summer, but we would appreciate it if we could restore the links now (so that they are available for people to access in the aftermath of shootings such as happened at Santa Fe, Tx) and have the students able to learn more about CC-BY-SA when the larger group reconvenes in the fall. Having broken links is detrimental to public perceptions of Wikiversity and the resources we are trying to build, and also frustrating to the students from a pedagogical point of view.
To be clear, we agree and understand the need to only upload material where the intellectual property rights make an upload appropriate. Here, that is the case (the authors were the ones uploading), and what needs to be tightened up is the documentation.
If other editors want to help with the licensing and repair, that would be greatly appreciated, too.
Thanks, and best regards! Eyoungstrom (discuss • contribs) 20:16, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
