Talk:Paleontology/Introduction/Geological structures of fossiliferrous bearing material
Does the discussion on this page apply equally to both macroscopic and microscopic fossils? Also, I have previously seen discussions about the likely biological origin of some molecules in certain geological deposits. Are "molecular fossils" found in a broader range of rocks than intact fossil organisms? --JWSchmidt 01:20, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
First part is yes it will develope to cater for macro and micro fossil forms as they are both important. Second, this is a good question that I have little knoledge of, also this is just an introduction and the question is to advanced and specific for this section. But A section must take place for this topic. But I have only seen molecular fossils when dealing with eucaryotic life forms, as they are either was a trace element of the organism of was the specimen itself. But this area is hotly debated. Will confirm at a later date.Enlil Ninlil 03:21, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
