This should probably not duplicate documentation already available on MediaWiki.org. We should think more about what information is needed that's not already covered there. – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 16:15, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I had in mind something a little more "dummy-friendly", with a much better index of what to do and how, examples of php files that give you a wiki setup without having to add things one at a time, etc. I can say from personal experience that MediaWiki can be hard to navigate and understand, so a more "step-by-step" guide would be helpful (at least for me!). --SB_Johnny talk 16:25, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yep - that's not duplicating documentation already available at mediawiki.org :D – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 17:32, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Huh? (Sorry, not sure what you mean) :-). --SB_Johnny talk 19:40, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
What you've suggested isn't covered on MW.org - it's mostly extension-specific information and other development-oriented information. That sort of thing shouldn't be duplicated (but what you've suggested isn't covered there, so that's where this project should likely focus). – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 22:32, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mike, I want to allow template looping during transclusion; do you know how to hack the parser to do it? Hillgentleman | //\\ |Talk 20:12, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I'm not clear what you mean by "template looping during transclusion" but I'm almost certain the answer is "no" - sorry. – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 22:32, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
